Menus
Roussillon’s trademark is the exquisite blend of French cuisine with the finest of British seasonal vegetables. Alexis Gauthier, Chef Patron of Roussillon, is regarded as one of the capital’s best young chefs. Alexis has attracted rapturous reviews for his ‘skill, ingredients and passion’ and not least for his ‘exquisite’ food and most notably his creative approach to vegetables. In 1998 he introduced a Garden Menu, an original seven-course vegetable menu.
Roussillon’s menu changes twice a season, led by the best British produce on offer. Alexis’s favourites include Blue Bembridge Lobster, Colchester Oysters, wild rabbit from the North Downs and Scottish venison. Herbs and vegetables are freshly picked each morning in Surrey. The cheeseboard is more patriotic with some twenty ripe French cheeses.
Roussillon’s cellar, managed by Italian Sommelier Roberto della Pietra has over 500 bins which span the New and Old Worlds.
